Shelby Seymore is a graduate of Angelo State University where she received her master's degree in rhetoric and composition. She is currently working on her second bachelor's degree in animal science in her pursuit to become a veterinary surgeon. Her aim is to one day work with conservation centers, zoos, and rescue establishments to help tend to the health of endangered and exotic animals.
She is originally from West Texas. She speaks on the modern culture and environment as well as what it was like to grow up in a conservative area. She is devoted to working with animals, helping others develop self-awareness and create good mental health, and standing against injustice.
She also serves as a freelance writer for a natural, ayurvedic company that specializes in alternative medicine. Other times you can find her working at many of the public schools in San Angelo, often working with special education students. Shelby is a certified teacher and is certified in ELAR 7-12, Special Education, and English as a Second Language. In the evenings, Shelby teaches a class on Understanding Your Mind Through Yoga at Concho Yoga and Tai Chi.
